Oh shit....I was drunk. Dave introduced them....I was drunk and didn't catch the names. So I looked at what obviously was an old link and just saw names by quartet and assumed....thus making an ass of moi...

Yeah, I was worried too when I saw Eileen's post . But, hey,a part of me still thinks Paul Desmond's alive.
I listened to the old Take Five album on CD as I was driving through Nevada's Hwy 50, the "loneliest highway, etc." I think I went to high school with Brubeck's son, or something like that, and didn't find out until way later. Brubeck and Co. played in Santa Cruz recently, and I missed it. Sheesh. The music still holds up; it's still the coolest.

Oh..but check this out. I once did an artist residency at Villa Montalvo here in California, which doubles in the summer as a concert space. Right outside my artist residency cabin, for three (possibly four) nights in a row, I would walk on over to near the front row and just wallow in Dave Brubeck. Three-four nights in a row! Two- to three-hours each night. Moi was in HEAVEN and didn't need no legal or illegal red to get there!!!
