Colin McCahon:
Let us possess one world
(painted May-July, 1955)
And now good morrow to our waking soules,
Which watch not one another out of feare;
For love, all love of other sights controules,
And makes one little roome, an every where.
Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone,
Let Maps to others, worlds on worlds have showne,
Let us possesse our world, each hath one, and is one.

The Good-Morrow

Mark,
This little Colin McCahon poem-painting is interesting. I've never heard of the man, but it shows all of the signs common to painting poems, and its general style is much like that of the painting-poems of Kenneth Patchen, some of them made around this same time. I have to look this guy up!
